Cant complain

I suffer from acne but has dry skin generally (I have eczema too) and I think this is perfect! Ive been looking for an affordable moisturizer with spf higher than 20 and Im glad to say I finally found what I need.

Eucerin Hydrating Care

Non greasy, felt unusual at first, but provides a good base for make up etc. Leaves my skin feeling quite hydrated. Good price, will keep on using.

Great cream for the reasonable price

This is quite a decent moisurizer for the price. The texture is somewhat of a whipped cream, it spreads easily and sinks fast into the skin. It really helps to ease that annoying tightness that dehydrated skin usually has. The cream has no scent which is obviously a plus for a sensitive and medication abused skin. SPF factor is also decent and works well. The only one reason I gave this cream a 4 star raiting is its finish. It gives you somewhat of a 'dewy' finish that on oily skin becomes actually 'oily' within several hours. I expected it to be more matte than it appears to be.

Does what it says

This cream is especially formulated for dehydrated skin due to the treatment of acne. Which for me is excellent at the moment: A couple of weeks ago my skin started breaking out like crazy, so I went to my doctor and he prescribed me a topical antibiotic (Zineryt Cutaneous (Erythromycin 40% and Zinc Acetate 12%). That stuff is working for me by the way, but anyone who uses this antibiotic will notice the véry strong smell of alcohol, which is super drying and irritating to the skin. Also the antibiotic causes photosensitivity (skin becomes sensitive to sunlight). This cream is therefore ticks off all my boxes. It is soothing, hydrating and has a good SPF! What I do have to say is that I used to have crazy oily skin (now less because of the medication), but I don't think I would have loved it as much then because it is really not matte. On the other hand, I think it is very very hard to find a good quality, but not crazy expensive moisturizer with spf that is suitable for really oily skin. Even if you have oily skin I can recommend this, because it is high quality and protecting your skin is really important!

Might be great for normal/combo skin

It was too shiny for my oily skin. On the other hand, it soothed and moisturised my skin very well.

Good!

I give five stars to this moisturizer with SPF, mostly because it does what it promises: hydrates (big time!) and provides a broad spectrum sun protection. Even thought, I don't find it perfect. On the good side, the formula contains no single bad ingredient (such as alcohol/ ethanol, menthol, mint, fragrance, camphor, witch hazel…), which makes it gentle and nonirritating. (Most products for acne prone skin contain one or more of these problematic ingredients and I don’t even consider them, which leaves me with a very few products.) It also contains reliable chemical UV filters (meaning, it is cosmetically elegant, with no white cast – unlike sunscreens with zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, and no drying effect on the skin), which create a high SPF of 30. (Until recently, the recommended SPF was 15 or higher, and the latest research shows it should be at least 30, because most people don’t apply enough sunscreen.) And it is not easy to find a good sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher! It also shoots my skin and causes no additional break outs. On the bad side, it is poor in antioxidants, which can additionally protect the skin from harmful UV effects and help it to recover/ stay younger. (Anyway, this can be compensated with layering a product rich in antioxidants – serum before the sunscreen.) Also, I wish it soaked a bit better into the skin, so that it doesn’t leave a slightly sticky feeling even 20 minutes later. (I fix it with a hint of pressed powder, which eliminates the dewy effect, as well.) I also noticed that it can ball off in case I rub my face later in the day, which might make it not all that perfect make up base, as it says on the package. (However, I am male and I don’t use foundation, so I can’t tell for sure. Also, I apply one and a half pump of the product on my face and neck, which is still less than the recommended amount of sunscreen, but more than most people would apply, I guess. Maybe the sheen, stickiness and balling would be reduced in case of the smaller amount.) It also has a smell that some people might not like, but I don’t mind it because it goes away soon and because eliminating it would require adding perfume, which I DON’T want. The bottom line: I like this moisturizer plus UVA/ UVB protection and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a reliable every day sun protection and hydration, with no white cast, drying effects and skin irritation; all that at a very reasonable price! PS: Another reason I stick with this sunscreen, and won’t switch to any other, is that I am highly allergic to oxybenzone (benzophenone-3) and hydro hexyl methoxycinnamate (octinoxate), which can be common UVB filters, in the first place in the American, but also in some European sunscreens.

Not for hot weather

This cream is definitely not for hot summer. I am talking about REAL hot and humid weather. After several hours on my slightly oil skin I was so wanted to clean my greasy face! At first it feels and looks good (except it's smell of household soap), but soon it feels uncomfortable. Will try in winter time.

Top rated

This lotion is the best SPF I've tried that doesn't leave a greasy residue on your skin, which is great for my oily skin. Even lotions claiming to be "light feel" or "dry touch" don't compare to this. It goes on rich, leaving my skin moisturised, but dries to a non-sticky, natural finish. Top notch.
