My natural colour is mousey blonde which I've brightened with 'foils' for years now. Trouble is, the lightened hair can sometimes take on a yellow tinge, especially as I live in a hard water area. I've tried many 'purple' shampoos & conditioners through the years which do neutralise any brassy tones but this, I have to say, is the creme de la creme. It's scarily purple, but leaves my hair a fab ashy colour & feeling nourished & soft.

I have natural platinum hair that has a tendency to get yellow streaks from the sun. I've tried all sorts of treatments to get the "yellow out" only to be disappointed. Product price didn't matter - I was always left with a purple undertone that lasted for days. My hairdresser tried a toner - but that washed out in 2 weeks and I'm back to the gold. I tried Variation Care in Baby Blond and was extremely pleased. I started out leaving the product in for 5 minutes - just to test it out. Fantastic! Christophe Robin Shade Variation Care removes brassy tones very well and it smells good too. Only down side is that you have to let it make it's magic over a half an hour. Hair feels silky and smooth after treatment.

There are more effective and not such expensive products for blondes. Didn't justify hopes.
