According to Statista, 119.97 million women in the U.S. used lipstick and lip gloss in 2017 and some 900 million lipsticks are sold each year. Contributing to the whopping US $13billion beauty industry of Korea, girl group members, models and actresses are shaping the K-beauty trends. Hwasa of Mamamoo is carries an “unconventional” makeup look in korea, and befitting of her “ssen eonnie” (tough girl) image. Her makeup style can be identified more closely in western cultures and is in the likes of Kylie Jenner.
Her tanned skin goes well in matte nude colours as well as shades of brown.
